Behind a great game by Brady Wiffen, who had two goals, the Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the Whitby Fury, 3-1. Wiffen found the back of the net 8:44 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Trenton and again while 19:47 into the third to make the score 3-1 Trenton.Trenton was led by goalie Justin Kapelmaster, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal. Kapelmaster managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.18 prior to the game. The Golden Hawks' offense rang up 36 shots on Whitby's net. Trenton also got points from Danny Liscio, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Zach de Concilys, who had one. The Fury did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Whitby puts an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game. The Fury's offense rang up 32 shots on Trenton's net. Whitby was led by Jeremy Wu, who scored the team's only goal. Wu scored 10:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Whitby. Kevin Dimagno picked up the assist. The Golden Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Austin Cain rejected 33 shots on goal for the Fury. Whitby incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
