Munroe leads Aurora to shutout victory over Lindsay

Andy Munroe was superb between the pipes for the Aurora Tigers, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the Lindsay Muskies.

Mack Lemmon had a great game for Aurora, netting two goals. Lemmon found the back of the net 4:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora and again while 18:01 into the third to make the score 3-0 Aurora.

The Tigers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Lindsay power plays. Aurora's defensive effort looked to be improved. The Tigers allow 2.3 goals per game. Lindsay was unable to stop Aurora from sending pucks towards the net, and the Tigers eventually piled up 42 shots on goal.

Aurora additionally got points from Drake Board, who also registered one goal and one assist. Aurora also got a goal from Johnny Curran as well. More assists for Aurora came via Shane Beaulieu, Eric Williams, and Nicholas Erb, who each chipped in one and Daniel Mantenuto and Noah Delmas, who contributed two each.

The Muskies managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Lindsay finished below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. The Muskies could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Lindsay averages 2.9 goals per game. The Muskies forced Aurora goalie Munroe to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Andy Munroe made 37 saves for the Tigers on 37 shots. Aurora incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. Boyd Diclemente rejected 38 shots on goal for Lindsay.
