St. Michaels falls to Hamilton in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Hamilton Red Wings' Joseph Mitchell scored 2:27 into overtime to beat the St. Michaels Buzzers, 5-4 (OT).

Hamilton was led by Mitchell, who had one goal.

In the losing effort, St. Michaels was led by Noah Jordan, who registered two goals. Jordan scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 11:37 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The Buzzers had taken the advantage when the Red Wings' Mitchell got sent off for slashing. Ian Edmondson provided the assist. Jordan's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 St. Michaels with 5:32 left in the second period. Thomas Beretta picked up the assist.

Hamilton kept St. Michaels' goalie busy throughout the game, and George Argiropoulos made 37 saves on 42 shots.

Others who scored for Hamilton included Jeff Joynt, Rylee St. Onge, Laine McKay, and Giovanni Foschia, who scored one goal each. In addition, Hamilton received assists from Otis Goldman, Jason OConnor, and Joel Knight, who each chipped in one and Matt Smith and Josh LaFrance, who contributed two each.

The Buzzers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Hamilton power plays. The Red Wings were unable to stop St. Michaels from sending pucks towards the net, and the Buzzers eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

St. Michaels additionally got points from Luca Doctor, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Matt Pepler, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for St. Michaels came via Scott Teskey and Bron Loiselle, who each chipped in one.

Jordan Cartney recorded 32 saves for Hamilton. The Red Wings incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. St. Michaels incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
