The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens relied on the scoring touch of Owen Tippett, who netted two goals, to beat the Mississauga Chargers, 5-1. Tippett scored at 12:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens and again while 17:24 into the second to make the score 3-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens.Mississauga was stymied by Toronto Jr. Canadiens' netminder Nathan Colitto, who stopped 26 shots during the victory. The solid play of Colitto will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.34. The Junior Canadiens excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Toronto Jr. Canadiens' offense rang up 42 shots on the Chargers' net. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Kevin Hancock, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Anthony Repaci, who also had one goal and one assist. Justin Maiolino also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens.
