Toronto Patriots downs Aurora in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Quinn Syrydiuk gave the Toronto Patriots Patriots a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Aurora Tigers when he scored 2:42 into the extra period.

Toronto Patriots was sparked by Syrydiuk, who racked up one goal.

The Patriots forced Aurora goalie Andy Munroe to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Toronto Patriots also got points from Nicholas Ursitti, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Toronto Patriots also got a goal from Niko Kovachis as well. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Patriots were Nathan Feric, who had two and Jacob Hayhurst and Louis DiMatteo, who each chipped in one.

The Tigers stifled Toronto Patriots' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Aurora did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Tigers average 4.3 goals per game.

Aurora was helped by Cameron Morrison, who had one goal. Morrison scored 18:50 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Johnny Curran provided the assist. Eric Williams also scored for Aurora. More assists for Aurora came via Taylor Joseph, who had one and Drake Board, who had two.

Emanuel Vella made 25 saves for the Patriots on 27 shots. Toronto Patriots incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Munroe rejected 33 shots on goal for the Tigers. Aurora incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
