Andy Munroe was superb between the pipes for the Aurora Tigers, as he did not allow a goal in a 2-0 victory over the Wellington Dukes. Aurora was led by Shane Beaulieu, who tallied one goal. Beaulieu scored 15:12 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Aurora. Liam Neuman picked up the assist. The Tigers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Aurora did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Tigers put an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. Aurora's defensive effort looked to be improved. The Tigers gives up 2.2 goals on average per game. Aurora also got a goal from Cameron Morrison as well. In addition, Aurora received assists from Noah Delmas and Sam Quaranta, who contributed one each. Wellington's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Aurora power plays. The Dukes' offense operated below their season average. Wellington averages 3.1 goals per game. Andy Munroe made 25 saves for Aurora on 25 shots. The Tigers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Dukes' Olivier Lafreniere stopped 27 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Wellington incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
