Liscio's goals lift Trenton to 6-2 victory over St. MichaelsSt. Michaels Rink Fri, Jan 02, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Danny Liscio had four goals to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 6-2 victory over the St. Michaels Buzzers. Liscio got on the scoresheet 55 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 18:11 into the second, at 21 seconds into the third, and at 8:47 into the third.St. Michaels was unable to stop Trenton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Golden Hawks eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Trenton also got points from Brady Wiffen, who also finished with one goal and four assists to lead the team in points. Chrisitian Lloyd also scored for Trenton. In addition, Trenton received assists from Zach de Concilys, who had four and Liam Morgan, Kevin Lavoie, Loren Ulett, and Robert Smythe, who contributed one each. The Buzzers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Trenton to score on any of its three power plays. St. Michaels was helped by Bron Loiselle, who tallied one goal. Loiselle scored on the power play 4:04 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Trenton. The Buzzers had taken the advantage when the Golden Hawks' Braedyn Asselstine got sent off for interference. Noah Jordan provided the assist. St. Michaels also got a goal from Matt Pepler as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels were Marco Ferraro, Scott Teskey, and Thomas Beretta, who each chipped in one. Riley Brown recorded 19 saves for Trenton. The Golden Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Mark Manolescu made 28 saves for St. Michaels on 34 shots. The Buzzers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
