The Kingston Voyageurs' Spencer Green scored 4:00 into overtime to beat the Cobourg Cougars, 2-1 (OT). Cobourg was stymied by Kingston's netminder Matt Penta, who stopped 43 shots during the victory. Penta certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.58 entering the contest. The Voyageurs were paced by Green, who registered one goal. Kingston managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Voyageurs finished below its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game. Kingston was held below its usual level of production. The Voyageurs put an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. Ryan Watson also scored for Kingston. More assists for Kingston came via Joey Rutkowski, who had two and Joey Beaudoin and Adam Moodie, who contributed one each. The Cougars' offense operated below their season average. Cobourg averages 3.4 goals per game. The Cougars forced Kingston goalie Penta to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. Cobourg was led by Rylee McKinnon, who scored the team's only goal.
