Hamilton forced Milton's goalies to work without much rest, finishing with 33 shots and forcing 23 saves. Jonathan Travers made 10 stops and Cosimo Lazzarino made 13. The Red Wings put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Icehawks to score on any of their four power plays. More assists for Hamilton came via Erick Delaurentis, who had two and Otis Goldman, Kris Hamlin, and Carl Greco, who each chipped in one.
