Toronto Jr. Canadiens downs Stouffville in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens' Aaron Spivak scored 1:53 into overtime to beat the Stouffville Spirit, 5-4 (OT).

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was led by Spivak, who racked up one goal and one assist.

The Junior Canadiens cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens additionally got points from Justin Maiolino, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Ryan Kruss, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Anthony Repaci, who also registered one goal and one assist. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got a goal from Sal Filice as well. In addition, Toronto Jr. Canadiens received assists from Kevin Hancock, who had two and Michael Cuddemi and Nicholas Jarzabek, who each chipped in one.

Stouffville kept Toronto Jr. Canadiens' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Colitto made 27 saves on 31 shots.

The Spirit were led by Nathan Hudgin, who tallied one goal and one assist. Hudgin scored 7:07 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Stouffville. Chad Burrows provided the assist. Stouffville also got points from Burrows, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Stouffville included Brodie Tutton and Colton Sansom, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Stouffville were Matthew Heffernan, Matthew Dunlop, Christopher Brill-Morgan, Michael Giacometti, and Nick Thomakos, who contributed one each.

The Junior Canadiens incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Stouffville's Aaron Taylor stopped 22 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Spirit incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
