Trenton rolls over St. Michaels, 7-2Duncan Memorial Sun, Dec 07, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Trenton Golden Hawks had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-2 win over the St. Michaels Buzzers. Tyler Donaldson was all over the ice for Trenton, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Donaldson scored the first of his two goals short handed at 13:09 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Trenton. The Golden Hawks played down a man on Liam Morgan's slashing. Matt Pizzo provided the assist. Donaldson's next tally short handed made the score 5-1 Trenton with 17:50 left in the third period. Trenton had taken the advantage when St. Michaels' Thomas Beretta got sent off for holding. Christian DiFelice assisted on the tally. The Buzzers' power play was ineffective against the Golden Hawks' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Trenton stifled St. Michaels' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Golden Hawks bested their season scoring average. Trenton has scored at the pace of 4.8 goals per game during the current campaign. The Golden Hawks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 48 minutes in penalties during the game. Trenton additionally got points from Loren Ulett, who also had one goal and one assist, Zach de Concilys, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Brady Wiffen, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Nick Santoro as well. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Danny Liscio, who had two, Robert Smythe, who had three, and Kevin Lavoie and Braden Hellems, who contributed one each. The Buzzers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 38 minutes in penalties during the game. Colton Trumbla also scored for St. Michaels. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Joseph Berton, Noah Jordan, and Michael Andlauer, who each chipped in one. Justin Kapelmaster recorded 21 saves for Trenton. The Golden Hawks registered two goals on six power play opportunities. For Trenton, Ulett was ejected from the game. George Argiropoulos made 20 saves for St. Michaels on 27 shots.
