Toronto Patriots downs St. Michaels in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Toronto Patriots Patriots pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the St. Michaels Buzzers on a clutch goal by Tyler Currie.

St. Michaels was stymied by Toronto Patriots' netminder Mathew Robson, who stopped 33 shots during the victory. Robson managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.67 prior to the game.

The Patriots were paced by Currie, who finished with one goal. Currie scored 1:54 into overtime to make the score 2-1 Toronto Patriots. Marcus Rose provided the assist.

Toronto Patriots' offense rang up 34 shots on the Buzzers' net.

Toronto Patriots also got points from Rose, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Patriots were Niko Kovachis and Jacob Hayhurst, who each chipped in one.

St. Michaels' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Toronto Patriots power plays. The Buzzers forced the Patriots goalie Robson to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

St. Michaels was led by Joseph Berton, who scored the team's only goal. Berton scored on the power play 17:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michaels. The Buzzers had gained a power play chance when Brett Markham was whistled for cross checking. Noah Jordan assisted on the tally.
