Lindsay falls to Milton in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Adam Burnett gave the Milton Icehawks a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Lindsay Muskies when he scored 3:02 into the extra period.

Milton was paced by Burnett, who registered one goal and one assist.

The Icehawks forced Lindsay goalie Brett Chandler to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The defensemen of Milton were also effective in the Muskies' zone, and came away with two goals.

Others who scored for Milton included Johnathon Schaefer, Mitch Rooney, and Chris Cobham, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Milton were Jordan Anderson, who had two and Lucas Martellacci, Sean Perichak, Colt Jaime, and Ryan Taylor, who contributed one each.

Lindsay's offense rang up 54 shots on the Icehawks' net.

The Muskies were led by Logan DeNoble, who had one goal and one assist. DeNoble scored short handed 14:13 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Lindsay found itself down a man on Brandon Washer's slashing. Michael Spataro assisted on the tally. Lindsay additionally got points from Washer, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Keegan Cairns also scored for Lindsay. More assists for Lindsay came via Matthew Marchese and Austin Eastman, who each chipped in one.

Milton's Cosimo Lazzarino stopped 51 shots out of the 54 that he faced. The Icehawks incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Brett Chandler made 33 saves for the Muskies on 37 shots. Lindsay incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
