Huge game by Morrison boosts Aurora over Lindsay, 7-4

Cameron Morrison was all over the ice for the Aurora Tigers, as he tallied two goals and three assists in Aurora's 7-4 win over the Lindsay Muskies.

Morrison scored at 15 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora and again while 19:55 into the third to make the score 7-4 Aurora.

The Tigers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Lindsay power plays. Aurora forced Lindsay goalie Boyd Diclemente to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. The Tigers bested their season scoring average. Aurora averages 4.9 goals per game.

Aurora additionally got points from Johnny Curran, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Michael Laidley, who also registered two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Aurora included Drake Board and Nolan Dunn, who each put in one. More assists for Aurora came via Kyle Locke, Noah Delmas, Taylor Joseph, Eric Williams, Matthew Bernard, and Mack Lemmon, who each chipped in one.

The Muskies were led by Logan DeNoble, who grabbed two goals and one assist. DeNoble scored the first of his two goals at 10:11 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Aurora. DeNoble's next tally made the score 5-3 Aurora with 14:29 left in the third period. Jack Scanlan provided the assist. Lindsay also had goals scored by Owen Barnett and Keegan Cairns, who scored one goal each. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Joseph Vocino, Brandon Washer, and Austin Eastman, who contributed one each.

Andy Munroe made 22 saves for the Tigers on 26 shots. Aurora incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Diclemente rejected 37 shots on goal for Lindsay. The Muskies incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
