Cobourg falls to St. Michaels in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The St. Michaels Buzzers pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Cobourg Cougars on a clutch goal by Bron Loiselle.

Cobourg was stymied by St. Michaels' netminder George Argiropoulos, who stopped 41 shots during the victory. Argiropoulos managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.46 prior to the game.

The Buzzers were led by Loiselle, who finished with one goal. Loiselle scored 3:02 into to make the score 2-1 St. Michaels. Luca Doctor assisted on the tally.

St. Michaels' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Cobourg power plays.

St. Michaels also got a goal from Cameron Wright as well. More assists for St. Michaels came via Noah Jordan and Cameron Searles, who contributed one each.

The Cougars did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Cobourg puts an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game. The Buzzers were unable to stop the Cougars from sending pucks towards the net, and Cobourg eventually piled up 42 shots on goal.

The Cougars were led by Connor Armour, who scored the team's only goal. Armour scored 1:28 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Connor Hogg picked up the assist.

St. Michaels incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Tyler Lewis recorded 25 saves for Cobourg. The Cougars incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
