Georgetown falls to Kingston in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Kingston Voyageurs' Spencer Green scored 2:22 into overtime to beat the Georgetown Raiders, 4-3 (OT).

Kingston was paced on offense by Rory McGuire and Green, who combined for five points. McGuire finished with two goals and one assist and Green also notched one goal and one assist.

The Voyageurs managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Kingston ended up below its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game. The Voyageurs' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Kingston additionally got points from Alex Tonge, who also registered one goal and one assist and Green, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Kingston came via Adam Brady, who had three and Cole Bolton and Joey Rutkowski, who contributed one each.

Georgetown was led by Brendan Jacome, who had two goals. Jacome scored the first of his two goals at 16:09 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Richard Court provided the assist. Jacome's next tally made the score 3-3 with 4:49 left in the third period. Andrew Court picked up the assist. Georgetown also got a goal from Blake Jones as well. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Gavin Shantz, Carmine Alberga, Scott Emerson, and Francois Cote, who each chipped in one.

Matt Penta recorded 15 saves for Kingston. The Voyageurs registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Jack LaFontaine made 18 saves for the Raiders on 22 shots. Georgetown incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
