Aurora rolls over Milton, 5-2Aurora Community Centre Wed, Nov 26, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Aurora Tigers were firing on all cylinders against the Milton Icehawks, and when the final buzzer sounded Tigers emerged with a 5-2 win. Aurora forced Milton goalie Cosimo Lazzarino to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. The Tigers were helped by Mack Lemmon, who racked up one goal. Lemmon scored 18:57 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Aurora. Nicholas Erb provided the assist. Aurora additionally got points from Nolan Dunn, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Aurora included Johnny Curran, Jordan DaSilva, and Liam Neuman, who each put in one. In addition, Aurora received assists from Kyle Locke, Daniel Mantenuto, Drake Board, Noah Delmas, Michael Longato, Cameron Morrison, and Sam Quaranta, who each chipped in one. The Icehawks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. Milton was led by Jordan Anderson, who finished with one goal. Anderson scored 7:31 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Aurora. Mitch Graham picked up the assist. Chris Poletek also scored for Milton. More assists for Milton came via Adam Burnett and Lucas Martellacci, who contributed one each. Marcus Semiao made 20 saves for Aurora on 22 shots. The Tigers incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Lazzarino recorded 41 saves for the Icehawks. Milton registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
