Toronto Jr. Canadiens outlasts St. Michaels, 3-2Buckingham Downsview Arena Sun, Nov 23, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The game between the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens and the St. Michaels Buzzers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Toronto Jr. Canadiens emerged with a 3-2 win. The Junior Canadiens gained the winning advantage on a goal by Andrew Mullen 17:37 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Toronto Jr. Canadiens was led by Mullen, who finished with one goal. The Junior Canadiens forced St. Michaels goalie George Argiropoulos to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. Toronto Jr. Canadiens managed to stay out of the box for the most part, registering a minimal one major for 15 minutes in penalty time. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Aaron Spivak, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Nicholas Jarzabek also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Justin Maiolino, who had two and Adam DeLuca, Michael Cuddemi, and Anthony Repaci, who each chipped in one. The Junior Canadiens were unable to stop the Buzzers from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Michaels eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. The Buzzers were helped by A.J. Dorazio, who had one goal. Dorazio scored 15:33 into the first period to make the score 2-1 St. Michaels. St. Michaels also got a goal from Marco Ferraro as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels were Colton Trumbla and Cameron Wright, who contributed one each. Daniel Lopapa rejected 30 shots on goal for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Toronto Jr. Canadiens ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ryan Kruss was ejected from the game. George Argiropoulos made 44 saves for St. Michaels on 47 shots. The Buzzers incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
