Ryan Garvey was all over the ice for the Oakville Blades, as he tallied two goals in Oakville's 6-2 win over the Hamilton Red Wings. Garvey found the back of the net 14:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Oakville and again while 5:25 into the second to make the score 3-0 Oakville.The Blades' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Hamilton power plays. Oakville forced Hamilton goalie Alexander Bishop to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Oakville also got points from Brandon Hughes, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Josh Kosack, who also had one goal and one assist. Oakville also had goals scored by Zackary Vukosa and Max Lindsay, who each put in one. More assists for Oakville came via Tanner Shaw, Matthew McLeod, Brendan McGlynn, and Tyler Rollo, who each chipped in one and Daniel Jelic and Jackson Bales, who contributed two each. McGlynn rejected 22 shots on goal for the Blades. Oakville totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. The Blades ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Vince Palermo was ejected from the game. The Red Wings' Bishop stopped 32 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Hamilton ended with nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. For the Red Wings, Ryan Punkari was ejected from the game.
