The Lindsay Muskies tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. A goal by Nicholas Jarzabek put Toronto Jr. Canadiens up 2-0 in the first period, but Lindsay pulled to within one on Brandon Washer's tally 11:44 into the third period. The Junior Canadiens were led by Justin Maiolino, who registered one goal. Maiolino scored 17:49 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Kennedy Duguid picked up the assist. Toronto Jr. Canadiens forced the Muskies' goalies to work all game long, getting 31 shots and forcing 28 saves. Brett Chandler made 23 stops and Boyd Diclemente made five. Ryan MacSpadyen also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Luca Farrace, Anthony Trujillo, Adam DeLuca, and Anthony Repaci, who each chipped in one. Lindsay's offense rang up 40 shots on the Junior Canadiens' net. The Muskies were helped by Matthew Marchese, who racked up one goal. Marchese scored 15:34 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Joseph Vocino provided the assist. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Austin Brown, James Allen, and Mathew Lewis, who contributed one each. Nathan Colitto made 38 saves for Toronto Jr. Canadiens on 40 shots. The Junior Canadiens incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Lindsay incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. |
