Fargey lifts Trenton over Cobourg, 5-2Cobourg Community Centre Mon, Nov 17, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Trenton Golden Hawks relied on the scoring touch of Hunter Fargey, who netted two goals, to beat the Cobourg Cougars, 5-2. Fargey's tallies came at 2:43 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Trenton and 5:44 into the second to make the score 4-2 Trenton.Trenton forced Cobourg's goalies to work all game long, taking 36 shots and forcing 31 saves. Stefano Durante made 10 stops and Tyler Lewis made 21. The Golden Hawks' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Trenton additionally got points from Chrisitian Lloyd, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Brady Wiffen, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Matt Pizzo as well. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Kevin Lavoie, who had two and Braedyn Asselstine, Zach de Concilys, and Robert Smythe, who each chipped in one. Trenton was unable to stop the Cougars from sending pucks towards the net, and Cobourg eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. The Cougars were helped by Alex Riche, who registered one goal. Riche scored 5:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cobourg. Liam Grande provided the assist. Cobourg also got points from Grande, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Cobourg received assists from Ryan OGrady, Riley Stillman, and Connor Armour, who contributed one each. Justin Kapelmaster rejected 31 shots on goal for the Golden Hawks. Trenton incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Cobourg incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
