Ashur Elliot scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and the St. Michaels Buzzers held off the challenges of the Toronto Patriots Patriots in a tough 2-0 win. St. Michaels took over the lead for good with a goal by Elliot at 3:32 in the first period. Bron Loiselle assisted on the tally.George Argiropoulos frustrated Toronto Patriots' offense all game, and stopped 41 shots en route to a shutout. Argiropoulos certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.37 entering the contest. The Buzzers were led by Elliot, who had one goal. St. Michaels excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. St. Michaels also got a goal from Michael Andlauer as well. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Sean Durzi and Marco Ferraro, who each chipped in one. The Patriots' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three St. Michaels power plays. Toronto Patriots' offense operated below its season average. The Patriots put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. The Buzzers were unable to stop Toronto Patriots from sending pucks towards the net, and the Patriots eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.
