Tkaczuk's goals lift Oakville to 5-2 victory over Pickering

Kamil Tkaczuk had two goals to lead the Oakville Blades to a 5-2 victory over the Pickering Panthers.

Tkaczuk's tallies came at 4:56 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Oakville and on the power play 17:11 into the third to make the score 4-2 Oakville.

Oakville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Pickering was unable to stop the Blades from sending pucks towards the net, and Oakville eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Oakville also got a goal from Ryan Garvey as well. Other players who recorded assists for Oakville were Brandon Hughes, Sean Kohler, Ryan Burns, and Jackson Bales, who each chipped in one and Greg Campbell and Ross Sloan, who contributed two each.

The Panthers were helped by Riley Devine, who finished with one goal. Devine scored 12:36 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Oakville. Stefano Pezzetta provided the assist. Cam Palmer also scored for Pickering. In addition, Pickering received assists from Sean Power and BJ Salerno, who each chipped in one.

Daniel Mannella recorded 28 saves for the Blades. Oakville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Blades, Tanner Shaw was ejected from the game. Jordan Cartney made 33 saves for Pickering on 37 shots. The Panthers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
