The Milton Icehawks' Adam Burnett scored 2:01 into overtime to beat the Georgetown Raiders, 4-3 (OT). Milton came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Icehawks fell behind 3-1 after a goal by Georgetown's Carmine Alberga at 13:38 in the second period. Milton knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Chris Poletek at 10:41 in the third period. The Icehawks were paced by Burnett, who registered one goal. Milton's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Georgetown power plays. Milton additionally got points from Jake Baird, who also had one goal and one assist and Jordan Anderson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Milton received assists from Alex Riche, who had three and Lucas Martellacci, Steven Goeree, and Josh Chiarot, who each chipped in one. The Raiders stifled the Icehawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Milton was unable to stop Georgetown from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Georgetown was led by Steve Hladin, who finished with one goal and one assist. Hladin scored 10:08 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Blake Jones assisted on the tally. Georgetown also got a goal from Jordan Brown as well. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Brendan Jacome, who had two and Gavin Shantz and Anthony Marra, who contributed one each. Tyler Lewis recorded 34 saves for the Icehawks. Milton incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Raiders' Marc Williams stopped 17 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Georgetown incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
