Orangeville falls to Aurora after surprising comeback

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Aurora Tigers battled back to claim a 3-2 victory over the Orangeville Flyers.

Aurora never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Tigers trailed 2-0 after a goal by Orangeville's Connor Stack at 17:03 in the first period. Aurora tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Nicholas Erb at 3:24 in the second period. The Tigers netted the game winner on the power play at 4:01 in the second period on a goal by Erb.

Aurora was led by Johnny Curran, who registered one goal.

The Tigers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Orangeville power plays. Aurora's offense rang up 40 shots on the Flyers' net.

Aurora also got points from Erb, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Aurora also got a goal from Todd Winder as well. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were Jordan DaSilva, who had one and Eric Williams, who had three.

Orangeville was led by Kosta Likourezos, who tallied one goal and one assist. Likourezos scored 6:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Orangeville. Lucas Smilsky assisted on the tally. More assists for Orangeville came via Christopher Sciammarella and Derek Topatigh, who contributed one each.

Andy Munroe rejected 27 shots on goal for the Tigers. Aurora incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nicholas Latinovich recorded 37 saves for the Flyers. Orangeville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
