The St. Michaels Buzzers gutted out a close 3-2 win against the Milton Icehawks. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Bron Loiselle secured the win for St. Michaels with a goal in the third period. The Buzzers were paced by Loiselle, who registered one goal and one assist. Loiselle scored on the power play 13:28 into the third period to make the score 3-2 St. Michaels. St. Michaels had gotten the advantage when Milton's Sean Walter was sent off for tripping. Matt Pepler provided the assist. The Buzzers forced the Icehawks goalie Cosimo Lazzarino to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. St. Michaels also had goals scored by Michael Lata and Scott Teskey, who each put in one. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Luca Doctor, Ashur Elliot, and Joseph Berton, who each chipped in one. Milton was helped by Mitch Graham, who tallied one goal. Graham scored on the power play 11:40 into the third period to make the score 2-2. A tripping penalty on Lata had put the Icehawks on the power play. Sean Perichak picked up the assist. Adam Burnett also scored for Milton. Other players who recorded assists for Milton were Alex Riche, Jordan Anderson, and Brendan Doherty, who contributed one each. George Argiropoulos recorded 27 saves for St. Michaels. The Buzzers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Milton's Lazzarino stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Icehawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
