Kingston downs Lindsay in overtime, 7-6 (OT)

Adam Brady gave the Kingston Voyageurs a 7-6 (OT) victory over the Lindsay Muskies when he scored 54 seconds into the extra period.

Kingston overcame a four-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Voyageurs fell behind 6-2 after a goal by Lindsay's Mathew Lewis at 11:21 in the third period. Kingston tied things up at 6-6 on a goal by Alex Tonge at 20:00 in the third period.

The Voyageurs forced the Muskies goalie Boyd Diclemente to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. Kingston's goal total was higher than its season average. The Voyageurs have scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign.

Kingston additionally got points from Brady, who also finished with two goals and three assists and Spencer Green, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Ryan Watson also scored for Kingston. Other players who recorded assists for Kingston were Rory McGuire, who had one and Blake ONeill and Joey Rutkowski, who contributed two each.

Lindsay was often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and one major for 47 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 19.0 minutes per game the Muskies had been spending in the box. Lindsay surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Muskies average 2.9 goals per game. Lindsay got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

The Muskies were led by Austin Eastman, who tallied one goal and two assists. Eastman scored 1:37 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Lindsay. Keegan Cairns assisted on the tally. Lindsay also got points from Michael Spataro, who also registered one goal and one assist and Logan DeNoble, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Lindsay also had goals scored by Brandon Washer and Connor Annett, who each put in one. Matt Penta recorded 23 saves for Kingston. The Voyageurs totaled 31 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 3-for-6 on the power play. Kingston ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Adam Moodie was ejected from the game. Boyd Diclemente made 42 saves for Lindsay on 49 shots. The Muskies registered one goal on zero power play opportunities. For Lindsay, Brock Spear was ejected from the game.
