Huge game by Erb boosts Aurora over Hamilton, 8-4

Nicholas Erb was all over the ice for the Aurora Tigers, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Aurora's 8-4 win over the Hamilton Red Wings.

Erb scored at 14:39 into the second period to make the score 3-3 and again while on the power play 17:36 into the second to make the score 5-3 Aurora.

The Tigers kept Hamilton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mark Sinclair made 40 saves on 48 shots. Aurora's goal total was higher than its season average. The Tigers average 4.9 goals per game.

Aurora also got points from Daniel Mantenuto, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Johnny Curran, who also had one goal and one assist, Keaton Ratcliffe, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Liam Neuman, who also registered two goals and one assist. Eric Williams also scored for Aurora. More assists for Aurora came via Callum Fryer, Noah Delmas, Shane Beaulieu, Michael Laidley, and Sam Quaranta, who contributed one each and Drake Board and Nolan Dunn, who each chipped in two.

The Red Wings were led by Josh LaFrance, who grabbed two goals. LaFrance scored the first of his two goals at 15:11 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jason OConnor provided the assist. LaFrance's next tally made the score 3-1 Hamilton with 13:45 left in the second period. Ryan Erickson assisted on the tally. Hamilton also had goals scored by Rylee St. Onge and Ryan Punkari, who each put in one. In addition, Hamilton received assists from Luke Sinclair, Erick Delaurentis, Matt Smith, and Alex Zaccaria, who contributed one each.

Marcus Semiao rejected 20 shots on goal for Aurora. The Tigers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Hamilton incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
