The Newmarket Hurricanes tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Kingston Voyageurs would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. Kingston made the score 4-1 on a goal by Cole Bolton at 5:51 in the second period, and Newmarket got as close as 4-3 when Cameron Nicoll scored 8:58 into the third period. Alex Tonge was all over the ice for the Voyageurs, as he racked up two goals in the win. Tonge's tallies came at 17:51 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kingston and on the power play 19:02 into the first to make the score 2-0 Kingston. Kingston stifled the Hurricanes' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Voyageurs kept Newmarket's goalie busy throughout the game, and Connor Ryckman made 37 saves on 41 shots. Kingston also got points from Bolton, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Alex Stothart, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Kingston came via Josh Hicks, Joey Beaudoin, Michael Crocock, Joey Rutkowski, and Spencer Green, who each chipped in one. The Hurricanes were helped by Dallas Baird, who registered one goal. Baird scored 19:30 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Kingston. Sam Hu provided the assist. Newmarket additionally got points from Hu, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Newmarket received assists from Anthony Salemi, who had two and Taylor Joseph and Brett Thomson, who contributed one each. Bryan Abell recorded 23 saves for Kingston.
