Georgetown wins tough contest against Toronto Jr. Canadiens, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Georgetown Raiders escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Blake Jones secured the win for Georgetown with a goal in the third period.

The Raiders were led by Jones, who had one goal. Jones scored 8:20 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Georgetown. Steve Hladin assisted on the tally.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was unable to stop Georgetown from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Others who scored for Georgetown included Josh Dickinson and John Adams, who scored one goal each. More assists for Georgetown came via Anthony Marra, who had two.

The Junior Canadiens were helped by Anthony Repaci, who grabbed one goal. Repaci scored 4:13 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Michael Cuddemi picked up the assist. Kennedy Duguid also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. In addition, Toronto Jr. Canadiens received assists from Andrew Mullen and Justin Maiolino, who each chipped in one.

Jack LaFontaine recorded 27 saves for Georgetown. The Raiders incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Toronto Jr. Canadiens' Nathan Colitto stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Junior Canadiens incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
