Trenton outlasts Kingston, 4-3INVISTA Center Thu, Oct 23, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Trenton Golden Hawks and the Kingston Voyageurs were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Trenton made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Blayne Oliver secured the win for the Golden Hawks with a goal in the third period. Trenton was led by Oliver, who tallied one goal. Oliver scored 4:41 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Trenton. Zach de Concilys assisted on the tally. The Golden Hawks stifled Kingston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Trenton forced the Voyageurs goalie Matt Penta to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Trenton additionally got points from Danny Liscio, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Trenton included Aidan Parker and Brady Wiffen, who each put in one. More assists for Trenton came via Braden Hellems, who had two and Christian DiFelice, Chrisitian Lloyd, and Robert Smythe, who contributed one each. Kingston's offense rang up 40 shots on the Golden Hawks' net. The Voyageurs were helped by Alex Stothart, who finished with one goal and one assist. Stothart scored 6:26 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Kingston. Cole Bolton picked up the assist. Kingston also got points from Bolton, who also registered one goal and one assist. Kingston also got a goal from Adam Brady as well. In addition, Kingston received assists from Blake ONeill, Joey Beaudoin, Michael Crocock, and Alex Tonge, who each chipped in one. Justin Kapelmaster made 37 saves for Trenton on 40 shots. The Golden Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Penta recorded 35 saves for Kingston. The Voyageurs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
