Latinovich stymies Milton, Orangeville wins 4-1

Nicholas Latinovich had a standout game with 25 saves, and the Orangeville Flyers beat the Milton Icehawks 4-1.

Orangeville was sparked by Thanvir Bandesha, who tallied one goal. Bandesha scored 13:05 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Orangeville. Ryan Anton picked up the assist.

The Flyers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Others who scored for Orangeville included Connor Stack, Kosta Likourezos, and Devon Gillham, who scored one goal each. More assists for Orangeville came via Colin Rigney, who had two and Adam Giacomin, Chris Maione, and Lucas Smilsky, who contributed one each.

Penalties took their toll on Milton, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals.

The Icehawks were led by Mitch Rooney, who scored the team's only goal. Rooney scored 11:10 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Lucas Martellacci assisted on the tally.

Orangeville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Milton's Tyler Lewis stopped 16 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Icehawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
