Toronto Jr. Canadiens rips St. Michaels, 6-2

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over the St. Michaels Buzzers.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was sparked by Michael Cuddemi, who tallied one goal and one assist. Cuddemi scored 19:56 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Aaron Spivak picked up the assist.

The Junior Canadiens forced St. Michaels' goaltenders to work all game long, ripping 33 shots and forcing 27 saves. George Argiropoulos made nine stops and Mark Manolescu made 18. Toronto Jr. Canadiens surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Junior Canadiens average 3.7 goals per game.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Ryan Kruss, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Anthony Repaci, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got a goal from Kennedy Duguid as well. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens were Andrew Pucci, Justin Maiolino, Sal Filice, and Nicholas Jarzabek, who each chipped in one.

The Buzzers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

St. Michaels was helped by Luca Doctor, who finished with one goal. Doctor scored on the power play 3:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michaels. The Buzzers had gotten the advantage when Toronto Jr. Canadiens' Kruss was sent off for holding. Thomas Beretta assisted on the tally. St. Michaels additionally got points from Beretta, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Ian Edmondson, Joseph Berton, and Bron Loiselle, who contributed one each.

Daniel Lopapa made 22 saves for the Junior Canadiens on 24 shots. Toronto Jr. Canadiens incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For the Junior Canadiens, Andrew Mullen was ejected from the game. St. Michaels registered two goals on six power play opportunities.
