Oakville rips North York, 6-2

Max Lindsay had two goals and one assist to lead the Oakville Blades to a 6-2 victory over the North York Rangers.

Lindsay's tallies came on the power play at 5:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Oakville and 3:13 into the second to make the score 2-0 Oakville.

North York's power play was ineffective against Oakville's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Blades kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Gianluca Baggetta made 35 saves on 41 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Oakville also got points from Greg Campbell, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Oakville included Kamil Tkaczuk, Tanner Shaw, and Joe Seney, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Oakville were Sean Kohler and Christian Rajic, who contributed one each and Jackson Bales, Matthew Lippa, and Ryan Garvey, who each chipped in two.

North York was led by Gabriel Valenzuela, who racked up one goal and one assist. Valenzuela scored 8:50 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Oakville. Jake Harris provided the assist. Will Reilly also scored for North York. More assists for North York came via Ted Hunt, who had one.

Daniel Mannella made 25 saves for Oakville on 27 shots. The Blades incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Rangers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
