Trenton rips Lindsay, 6-3

The Lindsay Muskies had trouble finding ways to stop the Trenton Golden Hawks, which beat Muskies, 6-3.

Trenton got the win on the strength of a great game by Braden Hellems, who had one goal and two assists. Hellems scored 12:57 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Trenton. Zach de Concilys provided the assist.

In a losing effort, Lindsay was paced by Jack Scanlan, who had two goals. Scanlan scored the first of his two goals at 18:29 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Trenton. Logan DeNoble assisted on the tally. Scanlan's next tally made the score 4-2 Trenton with 10:35 left in the second period. Austin Eastman picked up the assist.

The Golden Hawks' offense rang up 36 shots on the Muskies' net. Trenton's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Trenton additionally got points from Christian DiFelice, who also racked up one goal and one assist, de Concilys, who also tallied one goal and two assists, and Robert Smythe, who also registered one goal and one assist. Trenton also had goals scored by Michael Siddall and Chrisitian Lloyd, who scored one goal each. More assists for Trenton came via Brady Wiffen, who had two and Tyler Donaldson, Blayne Oliver, Luke Hincenbergs, and Kyle Tanev, who each chipped in one.

Brock Spear also scored for Lindsay. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Troy Oakley, who had one.

Riley Brown made 20 saves for the Golden Hawks on 23 shots. Trenton incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Boyd Diclemente rejected 30 shots on goal for Lindsay. The Muskies incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
