Toronto Patriots rides Robson to victory over Kingston, 4-1

The Toronto Patriots Patriots relied on the sparkling performance of Mathew Robson in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Kingston Voyageurs.

Toronto Patriots pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 27 penalty minutes.

The Patriots were paced by Nicholas Geiser, who racked up one goal. Geiser scored 16:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Patriots. Ryall Ledyard provided the assist.

Toronto Patriots excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

Toronto Patriots also got points from Nico Gonzalez, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Toronto Patriots included Brett Markham and Marcus Rose, who scored one goal each. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Tyler Currie, who had two and Beau Browning and Niko Kovachis, who contributed one each.

Kingston could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Voyageurs average 3.9 goals per game. Kingston kept the Patriots' goalie busy throughout the game, and Robson made 37 saves on 38 shots.

The Voyageurs were led by Cole Bolton, who scored the team's only goal. Bolton scored short handed 2:48 into the second period to make the score 1-1. A too many men call on Alex Stothart put Kingston on the penalty kill.

Toronto Patriots registered one goal on five power play opportunities. For the Patriots, James Guest was ejected from the game. Matt Penta recorded 15 saves for the Voyageurs. Kingston incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
