The Orangeville Flyers gutted out a close 9-7 win against the Hamilton Red Wings. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Lucas Smilsky's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. Smilsky had two goals and one assist to lead Orangeville. Smilsky scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 1:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Orangeville. The Flyers had taken the advantage when Hamilton's Jason OConnor got sent off for tripping. Connor Stack picked up the assist.
