The Wellington Dukes tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the St. Michaels Buzzers held on for a 3-1 victory. St. Michaels made the score 3-0 on a goal by Ashur Elliot at 16:59 in the second period, and Wellington got as close as 3-1 when Nick Devito scored 3:55 into the third period. Thomas Beretta was all over the ice for the Buzzers, as he had two goals in the win. Beretta's tallies came at 11:48 into the second period to make the score 1-0 St. Michaels and on the power play 12:39 into the second to make the score 2-0 St. Michaels. St. Michaels stifled the Dukes' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels were Luca Doctor, who had two and Ian Edmondson, Joseph Berton, A.J. Dorazio, and Bron Loiselle, who contributed one each. Wellington managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Dukes wound up below its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game. Wellington could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Dukes put an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game. Wellington's offense rang up 32 shots on the Buzzers' net. More assists for Wellington came via Brandon Kosik and Joe McKeown, who each chipped in one. George Argiropoulos made 31 saves for St. Michaels on 32 shots. The Buzzers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Taylor Welsh rejected 25 shots on goal for the Dukes. Wellington registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
