Trenton downs Milton, 4-1

Braden Hellems racked up one point to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 4-1 victory over the Milton Icehawks.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 3:06 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Trenton forced Milton goalie Tyler Lewis to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Trenton also got points from Michael Siddall, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Trenton also had goals scored by Robert Smythe and Brady Wiffen, who each put in one. In addition, Trenton received assists from Chrisitian Lloyd, who had two and Christian DiFelice, Tyler Donaldson, Danny Liscio, Matt Pizzo, and Hunter Fargey, who each chipped in one.

The Icehawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Golden Hawks to score on any of their four power plays.

Milton was led by Steven Goeree, who scored the team's only goal. Goeree scored 13:29 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Trenton. Sean Perichak provided the assist.

Justin Kapelmaster rejected 16 shots on goal for Trenton. The Golden Hawks ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major. Trenton ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Braedyn Asselstine was ejected from the game. Lewis recorded 30 saves for the Icehawks. Milton totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For the Icehawks, Sean Walter was ejected from the game.
