Georgetown beats Aurora 3-2 after comeback scare

The Aurora Tigers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Georgetown Raiders held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Steve Hladin put Georgetown up 3-0 in the third period, but Aurora pulled to within one on Keaton Ratcliffe's tally 16:22 into the third period.

The Raiders' penalty kill excelled, as Georgetown gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays.

The Raiders were helped by Brendan Jacome, who registered one goal. Jacome scored 6:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Georgetown. Francois Cote assisted on the tally. Georgetown also got points from Hladin, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Anthony Marra, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Georgetown came via Liam Clare, who had two.

Aurora also got a goal from Noah Delmas as well. In addition, Aurora received assists from Eric Williams and Sam Quaranta, who contributed one each.

Jack LaFontaine rejected 27 shots on goal for Georgetown. The Raiders incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Georgetown, David Perklin was ejected from the game. Andy Munroe made 19 saves for the Tigers on 22 shots. Aurora incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
