Lindsay downs Milton in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Lindsay Muskies' Brandon Washer scored 3:03 into overtime to beat the Milton Icehawks, 3-2 (OT).

Lindsay was led by Washer, who had one goal.

The Muskies put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Milton to score on any of its four power plays. Lindsay forced the Icehawks goalie Tyler Lewis to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Others who scored for Lindsay included James Allen and Stefan von Engelbrechten, who each put in one. More assists for Lindsay came via Mackenzie Heber, Brock Spear, and Troy Oakley, who contributed one each.

Milton excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. The Icehawks kept the Muskies' goalie busy throughout the game, and Boyd Diclemente made 29 saves on 31 shots.

Milton was helped by Sean Robertson, who grabbed one goal. Robertson scored 7:54 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Milton. Garrett Johnston picked up the assist. Milton also got a goal from Jake Baird as well. In addition, Milton received assists from Alex Riche, Sean Perichak, and Mitch Rooney, who each chipped in one.

Lindsay incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Muskies, John Macdonald was ejected from the game. The Icehawks' Lewis stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Milton incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
