Pickering falls to Georgetown in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Georgetown Raiders pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Pickering Panthers on a clutch goal by Zack Dybowski.

Georgetown came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Raiders was down 3-1 after a power play goal by Pickering's Kevin Dimagno at 10 seconds in the second period. Georgetown knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Andrew Court at 7:20 in the third period.

Court had two goals to lead the Raiders to victory.

The Panthers were unable to stop Georgetown from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Georgetown's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Georgetown also got points from Dybowski, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Eric Eustace also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Steve Hladin and Richard Court, who contributed one each and Gavin Shantz and Blake Jones, who each chipped in two.

Pickering forced Raiders' goaltenders to work between the pipes, totaling 35 shots and forcing 32 saves. Jack LaFontaine made 15 stops and Marc Williams made 17.

The Panthers were led by BJ Salerno, who finished with one goal and two assists. Salerno scored 7:47 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Pickering. Riley Devine provided the assist. Pickering additionally got points from Joseph Mitchell, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Pickering were Nicholas Lepone and Blake Coffey, who contributed one each.

The Raiders incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Georgetown ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jordan Brown was ejected from the game. Jordan Cartney recorded 30 saves for Pickering. The Panthers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
