Aurora downs Burlington, 5-2

Marty Lawlor tallied one point to lead the Aurora Tigers to a 5-2 victory over the Burlington Cougars.

Aurora's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Burlington power plays. The Tigers kept Burlington's goalie busy throughout the game, and Cammeron Radford made 55 saves on 60 shots.

Aurora also had goals scored by Drake Board, Shane Beaulieu, Eric Williams, and Todd Winder, who each put in one. In addition, Aurora received assists from Noah Delmas, Michael Laidley, and Noah Robinson, who contributed one each and Daniel Mantenuto and Sam Quaranta, who each chipped in two.

The Cougars were led by Matt Holmes, who racked up one goal. Holmes scored 3:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Burlington. Nathan Fiorino picked up the assist. Willy Paul also scored for Burlington. Other players who recorded assists for Burlington were Ben Scheel, James Thorpe, and Spencer Herbst, who contributed one each.

Marcus Semiao rejected 23 shots on goal for Aurora. The Tigers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Burlington incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
