Toronto Jr. Canadiens downs St. Michaels in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the St. Michaels Buzzers on a clutch goal by Matthew Ferrari.

Aaron Spivak was all over the ice for Toronto Jr. Canadiens, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Spivak scored on the power play 12:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens earned a power play opportunity when Noah Jordan was put in the box for tripping. Justin Maiolino picked up the assist.

In a losing effort, St. Michaels was led by Ian Edmondson, who racked up two goals. Edmondson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:09 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Buzzers had gotten the advantage when Toronto Jr. Canadiens' Michael Cuddemi was sent off for interference. Luca Doctor provided the assist. Edmondson's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 2:25 left in the second period. St. Michaels had taken the advantage when the Junior Canadiens' Will Lawrence got sent off for tripping. Thomas Beretta assisted on the tally.

The Buzzers were unable to stop Toronto Jr. Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and the Junior Canadiens eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens additionally got points from Kevin Hancock, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ryan Kruss also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. In addition, Toronto Jr. Canadiens received assists from Luca Farrace, Anthony Repaci, and Ryan Ngan, who contributed one each.

St. Michaels kept Toronto Jr. Canadiens' goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Lopapa made 31 saves on 34 shots. The Buzzers' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

St. Michaels also got points from Beretta, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for St. Michaels came via Marcel Fatovic, Joseph Berton, and Bron Loiselle, who each chipped in one.

The Junior Canadiens incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. George Argiropoulos rejected 39 shots on goal for St. Michaels. The Buzzers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. St. Michaels ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Sam Hunter was ejected from the game.
