The Lindsay Muskies used a sparkling performance by Boyd Diclemente to take down the Aurora Tigers, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Lindsay's 3-0 shutout victory. The Muskies were led by Stefan von Engelbrechten, who registered one goal. Von Engelbrechten scored 9:07 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay. Austin Brown assisted on the tally. Lindsay stifled Aurora's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Muskies forced the Tigers goalie Andy Munroe to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Others who scored for Lindsay included Keegan Cairns and Logan DeNoble, who each put in one. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Matthew Marchese, who had one. Aurora put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Lindsay to score on any of its three power plays. The Tigers could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Aurora averages 2.3 goals per game. The Tigers kept the Muskies' goalie busy throughout the game, and Diclemente made 35 saves on 35 shots. Lindsay incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
