Aaron Spivak was all over the ice for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Toronto Jr. Canadiens' 5-2 win over the Buffalo Jr. Sabres.

The Junior Canadiens put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Buffalo to score on any of its four power plays. Toronto Jr. Canadiens forced the Jr. Sabres goalie Nate Skidmore to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. The defensemen of the Junior Canadiens were also effective in Buffalo's zone, and came away with two goals.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Luca Farrace, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also had goals scored by Andrew Mullen and Adrian Vendrasco, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens were Kennedy Duguid, Kevin Hancock, Justin Maiolino, Ryan Kruss, and Anthony Repaci, who each chipped in one.

The Jr. Sabres could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

Buffalo was helped by Nick Smith, who racked up one goal. Smith scored 2:39 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Buffalo. Nico Gonzalez picked up the assist. Chris Moses also scored for Buffalo. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Kenny Tencza and Ryan Kuhn, who contributed one each.

Nathan Colitto made 18 saves for Toronto Jr. Canadiens on 20 shots. The Junior Canadiens incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Skidmore recorded 36 saves for the Jr. Sabres. Buffalo ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Tencza was ejected from the game.
