The Lindsay Muskies and the Georgetown Raiders skate to 3-3 (OT) tieLindsay Recreation Centre Fri, Sep 12, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Lindsay and Georgetown could not settle their match and fought to a 3-3 tie. The Raiders were unable to stop the Muskies from sending pucks towards the net, and Lindsay eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. The Muskies were helped by Logan DeNoble, who tallied one goal and one assist. DeNoble scored 4:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay. Austin Eastman assisted on the tally. Lindsay also got points from Eastman, who also registered one goal and one assist. John Macdonald also scored for Lindsay. More assists for Lindsay came via Joseph Vocino and Brandon Washer, who each chipped in one. Georgetown stifled Lindsay's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Raiders kept the Muskies' goalie busy throughout the game, and Boyd Diclemente made 37 saves on 40 shots. Georgetown was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The Raiders were helped by Francois Cote, who racked up one goal. Cote scored 2:58 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Steve Hladin picked up the assist. Georgetown additionally got points from Richard Court, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Georgetown also got a goal from David Perklin as well. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Jordan Brown, who had two and Eric Eustace and Blake Jones, who contributed one each. Lindsay totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-7 on the power play. For the Muskies, Troy Oakley was ejected from the game. Marc Williams made 35 saves for Georgetown on 38 shots. The Raiders registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Georgetown ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kyle Allan was ejected from the game.
