St. Andrews College rips Northwood School, 4-1

The St. Andrews College Saints were firing on all cylinders against Northwood School, and when the final buzzer sounded Saints emerged with a 4-1 win.

St. Andrews College was led by goalie Matthew Galajda, who finished with 36 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Galajda will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.59.

Northwood School's power play was ineffective against the Saints' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

St. Andrews College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Northwood School power plays.

The Saints were led by JD Falconer, who registered one goal and one assist. Falconer scored 6:37 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Andrews College. Reid Yochim picked up the assist. Others who scored for St. Andrews College included Quentin Campbell, Jacob Miller, and Mac Lewis, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for St. Andrews College were Justin Fregona, Adam Sinclair, Mitchell Martan, and Emil Hiiri, who contributed one each.

Northwood School put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Andrews College to score on any of its four power plays. Northwood School forced the Saints goalie Galajda to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Northwood School was led by Kaden Pickering, who scored the team's only goal. Pickering scored 13:39 into the second period to make the score 3-1 St. Andrews College. Malcolm Arseneau assisted on the tally.

St. Andrews College incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Anton Rosen made 26 saves for Northwood School on 30 shots. Northwood School incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
