Player lifts Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 over St. Andrews College, 2-1

Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 relied on the scoring touch of New Player, who netted two goals, to beat the St. Andrews College Saints, 2-1.

Player scored at 16:35 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 8:05 into the third to make the score 2-1 Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 was led by goalie New Goalie, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Goalie will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.11 entering the contest.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 forced St. Andrews College goalie Matthew Galajda to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

The Saints' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 power plays. St. Andrews College could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Saints average 4.7 goals per game.

St. Andrews College was led by JD Falconer, who scored the team's only goal. Falconer scored 16:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Andrews College. Mitchell Martan picked up the assist.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Matthew Galajda made 29 saves for the Saints on 31 shots. St. Andrews College incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
