Falconer nets hat trick, leads St. Andrews College to 6-2 win over Culver Military Academy

JD Falconer netted a hat trick to lead the St. Andrews College Saints over Culver Military Academy, 6-2.

Falconer notched his first tally 9:38 into the second period. He then added goals at 15:44 into the second and at zero seconds into the third.

St. Andrews College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Culver Military Academy power plays. The Saints kept Culver Military Academy's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dean Shatzer made 37 saves on 43 shots.

St. Andrews College additionally got points from Alex MacDonald, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for St. Andrews College included Quentin Campbell and Adam Sinclair, who scored one goal each. More assists for St. Andrews College came via Justin Fregona, who had three and Matthew Thom, Calvin Walker, Reid Yochim, Jacob Miller, and Mac Lewis, who contributed one each.

St. Andrews College was unable to stop Culver Military Academy from sending pucks towards the net, and Culver Military Academy eventually piled up 45 shots on goal.

Culver Military Academy was helped by Matthew Donnelly, who registered one goal. Donnelly scored 11:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Culver Military Academy. Rune Kirby picked up the assist. Culver Military Academy also got points from Zachery Main, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Culver Military Academy were Karch Bachman, who had one.

The Saints' Matthew Galajda stopped 43 shots out of the 45 that he faced. St. Andrews College incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Culver Military Academy incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
